Suhani Sheth- Rocky Hill (Tennis): Sheth came from behind to defeat previously undefeated Catherine Zak of Glastonbury last Monday. The junior dropped the first set 3-6 before rebounding to win the second set 6-3 and a third-set tiebreaker 10-8. “It was nerve racking, she’s a really good player overall. It was good competition, and I wished her good luck too,” Sheth said following the match. Sheth, who has won all of her matches, made states during her freshman year and is happy to be experiencing matches again with her teammates, “I am so happy to be on the court, even if it’s a shortened season I’m just happy to be out here. It’s nice to be out here supporting each other and I’m happy we have that bond together. We just want to win for the team and for (head coach Mike) Dudis.

Matt Utter- Newington (Tennis): Utter is Newington’s #1 singles player and defeated back-to-back tough opponents last week, first knocking off Glastonbury’s Christian Kaverud and then taking down Hall’s Matt Glassman. After five meets, the senior remains unbeaten.

Mike Bobin- Wethersfield (Track & Field):
Bobin set the school record in the pole vault during a meet vs Windsor last week. The senior captain vaulted 14’0” to break the record during the Eagles second meet of the season.

Noah Blake/Garrett Kronenberger- Middletown (Golf): Blake and Kronenberger are the two seniors on the Blue Dragons boys’ golf team. The two celebrated senior night during a home meet against Bristol Eastern last week.

Lily Kenney- Cromwell (Softball): Kenney continues to dazzle on the mound, pitching her second perfect game of the year in a 12-0 win over Old Saybrook last Wednesday. The sophomore-flamethrower was untouchable, throwing 10 strikeouts, also driving in five runs (including a home run) from the plate. Coming into the week, she is averaging 10 strikeouts per game over her first seven starts. Following her latest perfect game, she credited her teammates in the field, posting, “I have an amazing team behind me! What’s better than a perfect game? Two perfect games!!!”
